Last month, I polled you all on your biggest struggles with media coverage. You’re struggling to find pitch opportunities and not getting quoted in the ones you are finding. Some of your biggest hurdles are not responding quickly enough to requests and not feeling as confident as you would like when responding.
I’ve been in this space for a hot minute (5 years, give or take). I updated my resume this week and realized I’ve written over 400 bylined articles and have been featured as an expert over 100 times.
I’ve learned a thing or two over the years about written media as a dietitian and journalist, and I want to help you get the exposure you deserve. It takes time and effort to answer queries, and if you’re not getting at least some of them picked up, we’ve some work to do.
While once-a-month tips on my Substack are nice, I think I can do better. If you want 1:1 attention, coaching, and a plan to move the needle forward on your media exposure, fill out this application. If I think I can help, I’ll send you another email with the next steps!

🧠 Media tip of the week: short and to the point
When you’re answering a journalist's request… answer the question, don’t write the article.
You know your stuff, and you’re excited to write something eloquent and fun to read in response, I get it (I really, really do).
But that’s a lot to sift through when you’re reading a lot of responses and trying to find quotes to pull out. The journalist’s job is to write an engaging article. Your job is to provide quotes that they can use to support that article.
Not sure how to pare your responses down so they’re succinct, but still helpful. That’s what I’m here for!
